565 stars275 forksShellQuality 9/10Updated 7/1/2026100% free · open source
What it does

Eth-docker automates the setup and management of Ethereum nodes using Docker, making it easier for founders to run and maintain their own nodes.

Install / run
git clone https://github.com/ethstaker/eth-docker.git && cd eth-docker
When to use it
  • •You need to run a full Ethereum node for your startup's blockchain application
  • •You want to automate the deployment and scaling of Ethereum nodes
  • •You need to manage multiple Ethereum nodes for testing, development, or production environments
Quick start
  1. 1Run the command `make up` to start the Ethereum node containers
  2. 2Edit the `env` file to configure the node settings, such as the network and data directory
  3. 3Use the `make logs` command to view the container logs and troubleshoot any issues
  4. 4Run `make down` to stop and remove the containers
  5. 5Use the `make init` command to initialize the node with a custom configuration
Ready-to-paste prompt
Run `ETH_NETWORK=mainnet make up` to start a mainnet Ethereum node
Heads up: You need to have Docker and Make installed on your system, and ensure that the `DOCKER_COMPOSE_VERSION` variable is set to a compatible version, as specified in the eth-docker README
